Treatment Overview

What is Fibroblast?

Using a controlled plasma arc, tiny micro-points are created on the surface of the skin without direct contact. This controlled response encourages collagen remodelling, tissue contraction and skin renewal, helping to improve skin laxity, fine lines and overall skin quality over time.

At Saint Serene, every Fibroblast treatment is carefully tailored to your skin, anatomy and individual goals. Our focus is always on achieving natural-looking results while respecting the integrity of your skin.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Fibroblast hurt?

Your comfort is important to us. A topical anaesthetic is applied before treatment to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as warmth or small pinpricks during the procedure.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments depends on the treatment area, the degree of skin laxity and your individual goals.

Some clients achieve their desired outcome after one treatment, while others may benefit from additional sessions. Your clinician will discuss a personalised treatment plan during your Skin Analysis.

When will I see results?

Some tightening may be noticeable once the skin has healed; however, the most significant improvements develop gradually over the following 8–12 weeks as collagen remodelling continues.

Results continue to improve as your skin naturally regenerates.

Is there any downtime?

Fibroblast involves a longer healing period than many other skin treatments.

Immediately following treatment, small carbon crusts will form on the treated area as part of the normal healing process. These typically shed naturally within 5–10 days. Mild swelling, redness and sensitivity are also expected during the initial healing phase.

Your clinician will provide detailed aftercare instructions to support optimal healing.

Is Fibroblast suitable for everyone?

Fibroblast is not suitable for every skin type or every client.

During your Skin Analysis, we carefully assess your skin type, medical history, healing capacity and treatment goals to determine whether Fibroblast is the most appropriate option for you.

If another treatment is likely to achieve a better outcome, we will always recommend that instead.

How long do the results last?

Results vary depending on your skin quality, age, lifestyle and ongoing collagen loss.

Many clients enjoy long-lasting improvements, although the natural ageing process continues. Maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and following your personalised treatment plan will help support your results over time.

How should I prepare for treatment?

Your clinician will provide personalised preparation instructions before your appointment.

Generally, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure, active skincare products and treatments that may sensitise the skin before your procedure.

What should I do after treatment?

Keeping the treated area clean and protected is essential for proper healing.

Avoid picking or removing the carbon crusts, protect the area from sun exposure and carefully follow the personalised aftercare instructions provided by your clinician.
